Trucking

Gebr. Raaphorst is specialised in the transport of tank-containers troughout Europe. About 60 % of these transports is hazardous cargo. All trucks and chassis are equipped for carrying hazardous cargo and have hoses , compressors, couplings and other materials for discharging liquids. We are very keen on the safety of our drivers; safety materials, such as handrails, clothing, masks etc. All drivers have their ADR-certificate and are well-trained for these transports. The average truck is less than 2 years old. Further we can also use our special 40" chassis. (also specially designed for tank-transport).

Very important in our company is the planning. It takes care of the logistic part of the transport. One of our main interests is the fact that the tank-container arrives in time on the requested place. Our up to date computer-system gives us the opportunity to inform the customer about the state of his tank-container. Where it is, if it is loaded or empty. Because of this system we can follow our vehicles 24 hours per day. We know exactly the status of the tank-container and its cargo. Communication between planning in the office and truck goes by Transics. A very advanced system that brings many advantages.

Storage / Handling

Gebr. Raaphorst has the disposal over a site where tank-containers can be stored. We can store empty and loaded tanks with all sorts of products ( ADR and NON-ADR ) We also have the possibility to store tanks under customs. The truck used for the lifting of these tanks is heavy enough for any loaded tank.

Heating

There is the possibility of heating tank-containers with steam, warm water or electricity. Some of the products we heat : Fatty acids Cresols Acrylic acids Poly iso butylenes Tallow Oils Resins
